A rearing of Aglais urticae ichnusa (BONELLI, 1826) from Corse is/ described. We found some nests of larvae in L1-L3 stage. The larvae/ were transferred to Germany and fed with stinging nettle (Urtica/ dioica, Urticaceae). About 10 % of the larvae died without any obvious/ reason. Many larvae pupated, but failed to hatch.
