------------Pontia daplidice (Lepidoptera, Pieridae) in South-Europe - a group of two species - Enzyme electrophoretic studies on P. daplidice from South-Europe reveal two genetically well differentiated and geographically separated taxa. Taxon 1 is recorded from the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria), Morocco, France and Israel, taxon 2 from Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia and Greece. The biochemical genetic data indicate that these taxa do not share a common gene pool, they differ at three out of 19 enzyme loci investigated. The two taxa are regarded as specifically distinct.
