Résumé :

The proboscis of Scrobipalpa costella (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is studied here with scanning electron micron copy. Five types or subtypes of sensilla have been observed on the external surface of the galeae: three subtypes of uniporous sensilla styloconica, two subtypes of aporous sensilla chaetica. The most numerous sensilla styloconict (subtype 1) possess a long hair in place of the more usual cone. This is the first time they have been observed and described on the proboscis of a lepidopteran. This morphological type is compared to the type of sensillum styloconicum with a long hair described on the antenna of Lepidoptera Neopseustidae
