Plants on which insects were seen landing and gathering honey on the Ile d'Oleron, Charente-Maritime department, France, are noted. Hedera helix L., ivy, was very attractive to honey-gathering species from the middle of Sept. and into Oct. The development of H. helix and budding and flowering processes are discussed and described. Species noted on the ivy are given and the behavior of adult and larval species indicated. More than 20 taxa of honey-gathering species and honey-containing plant species are considered. Lacerta muralis is cited as a predator of the honey-gathering species
