Résumé :

The complete developmental cycle of Fabriciana elisa, species from the mountains of Corsica and Sardinia, was described. All of the developmental stages were presented in color photographs. The egg surface structure was also presented by photos taken with a scanning electron microscope. The morphology of the chrysalis of Fabriciana elisa reveals that this taxon is closer to Mesoacidalia aglaja than to Fabriciana adippe and Fabricianas niobe. In all of the distribution area of Fabriciana elisa, the principal host-plant is probably Viola corsica, accepted readily by the caterpillars in captivity. Data on capture sites furnished by various authors were collected and completed by a new region in Sardinia: Catena del Marghine
