An overview of the records of Bohemannia auriciliella (De Joannis, 1909) in Europe is given, including the first record for Germany (Lower Saxony, Hannover, 2018) and Bulgaria (Burgas, 2002) and new records for the Netherlands and France. In total only 28 specimens are known. Information on the recognition of the moth, and on DNA barcode is provided and additionally, its hidden lifecycle is briefly discussed.
